What is the Network?
The AI/SkillsTech Network is an initiative to advance skills-based hiring and foster experimentation with new HR workforce tools that are based upon skills. We are a collaborative community of tech developers, employers, and nonprofits who support one another with knowledge-sharing and shared discovery.
How we deliver
The Network offers community-driven webinars, a peer project exchange, expert consultations with affiliated Northeastern faculty and opportunities to experiment with cutting-edge tools in workforce management.

SkillsTech Hackathon
November 12th, 2025: Boston, MA
A day long session where HR professionals and tool creators partner to imagine the best solution to a particular problem. The topic for the November hackathon is hiring in a era of AI-generated candidates.
Project Exchange
A directory of projects posted by members. Projects can be supported by Northeastern students. Posting a project also allows members to find peer companies interested in solving for the same need.
The exchange can also be a place to post requests for expert consultation on specific problems.
